Day 18 - What's in my make-up bag
Saturday, May 9, 2020
Yay! I love "What's in my Bag" things!

Skin/Face
+ Etude House Sunprise Must Daily- Sunscreen is a necessity before I put on make-up.
+ Tatcha The Silk Canvas Primer - This is the first primer I used and I've totally hit pan. I love the smell and how it makes my face so smooth before applying my foundation or concealer.
+ e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer - I heard lots of great reviews about how this was a dupe for the Tatcha primer so I bought it to try it out.
+ Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - Love this concealer. I've been using this for as long as I know. Most days I just use concealer now.
+ Innisfree Cushion - I love how it's lightweight and easy to apply. I'm thinking about trying something else though so we'll see.
Eyes
+ Tartelette In Bloom Palette - I've always been about neutral eye-shadow.
+ e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit - Easy to blend and apply when I'm lazy or in a rush.
+ Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow - When I take my time doing my brows.
+ Loreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in very black - My holy grail mascara. No matter how many mascaras I've tried I always end up going back to this one.
Face
+ Physicians Formula x Weylie Butter Collection Palette - I'm late to the blush game, but lately I've been obsessed with blush! I love this palette and mostly just wanted to support Weylie.
My Quarantine Essentials
Friday, May 8, 2020
My quarantine days are coming to an end as I'll be headed back to work next week. I've enjoyed my long break and I believe I used my time to the fullest, but now I'm refreshed and ready to head back to work. These were some of my top essentials that I enjoyed during my time of quarantine.
+ Oil Diffuser
I loved being able to diffuse my oils and making different blends depending on my physical or emotional needs of that day.
+ Slippers
I basically wore my slippers all day every day. They were so comfy.
+ Mason Jar with a straw
I realized that this was the only way I would drink water. For some reason having a straw helps so much. My mason jar was always by my side.
+ Chromebook
When we moved to GA my Chromebook wouldn't connect to our internet, but during quarantine it did! It was great timing because I was using Chu's laptop, but it started having battery issues right before quarantine. I'm so amazed how everything worked out.
+ My Bible and Bullet Journal
I had lots of time to be in the word and to make some fun bullet journal spreads.
+ Leggings
I was in lounge wear almost everyday and I definitely gravitated more towards leggings with a comfy/over-sized top.
Going down memory lane, but it's not in chronological order.

When we went on our first girl's getaway. Felt like such big girls, ha.
Enjoying the sunset in WI during our young adults road trip in 2013.
When Chu and I first started dating he asked me, "Why do you always have a bag of chips with you?" My answer, "It's part of who I am." This is my proof.
First time at King Spa. It was life changing and now I'm addicted.
Big Bang's Alive Galaxy Tour in 2012. Most hype concert ever!
My first zip line experience. I'm always on the lookout for good zip lining courses now.
Bobbing for oranges in ice cold water. One of the craziest challenges I've done.
Running man events with the youth, just as funny as the show.
Experiencing my first natural disaster, Hurricane Sandy. Craaazzy times.
Skyping the little bros when I was in college. We were so young.
Playing in our first tournament! We got 3rd place out of 3 teams lol
OMG! When Kayden was 5 years old. Look at that cute smile!
I think this photo is beyond sweet. Love my dad.
Hanging Lake is one of my favorite hikes, but I had never hiked it in the snow until this one day. Hiking in the snow was scary because we didn't have the right shoes and our hands were getting numb, but definitely made it much more adventurous.
Y'all, student teaching was my absolute favorite thing!
Day 16 - Ten Favorite Foods
Thursday, May 7, 20201. Hamburgers - I love mine medium with bacon and an over easy egg. No extra condiments except for lettuce and mayo.
2. Fawm Kauv (steamed rice rolls) - Seriously, the texture of the steamed rice roll is everything. I love this with a spicy dipping sauce.
3. Vermicelli Noodle Bowl - This is such a refreshing dish that I could just keep eating. I love mine with lots of meat and egg rolls.
4. Chicken and Bacon Alfredo - Favorite pasta dish. I also like creamy garlic lemon pasta as well. I just love white creamy pastas.
5. Chicken, lamb, and Rice from Halal Guys - I first tried this dish in New York from a street cart and have been obsessed every since. Everyone needs to try this dish.
6. Dumplings - I could literally snack on dumplings all day. My favorite kind of dumplings are soup dumplings where the soup is inside the dumpling, sooo yummy.
7. Rice Noodle Dishes - Pho, Kapong, and Kapia. I know this is cheating, but I seriously love any dish with rice noodles. The textures of the noodles and the flavor of the soups are so satisfying.
8. Stuffed Chicken Wings - My mom's stuffed chicken wings are my favorite. This is a dish that requires a lot of labor, but my mom always cooks it because she knows I love it.
9. Korean Barbeque (KBBQ) - I just love my meat!
10. Thai Curry - This is one of my favorite Thai dishes and I have to have it with potatoes. Honestly, any dish with potatoes and I'm sold.
April Favorites // Bullet Journal Spreads
Wednesday, May 6, 2020
When I do my bible studies I love to take notes and reflect on what I read. I wanted to get creative with my notes and started creating bullet journal spreads. I usually read two chapters at a time and so I like to keep the same theme for those two chapters. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite spreads with you all, so I might do monthly favorites. Enjoy and I would love to see some of your creative spreads as well!

A stationary and floral spread.
A warm sunflower spread.

A Polaroid theme because I love collecting them.
+ I want to be able to share the love of Jesus and what he's been doing/teaching me in my life. I want everything about me to be pointed back to who Christ is.
+ My hope is that this would be a safe place to share struggles and victories with each other.
+ I hope that I'll be able to spark creativity through sharing some of my crafts and bullet journals.
+ My hope is that this will be a place where people can be inspired to pursue their passions and interests.

Day 12 - Top 3 Dinner Recipies
Sunday, May 3, 2020
+ Rabokki (ramen and tteokbokki/rice cake)
My family will have our little Korean cravings so I cook this at least once a month with some dumplings and kimchi fried rice on the side. Yum!
Ingredients:
- tteokbokki (rice cake)
- shine ramen (any plain ramen noodle is fine too)
- tteokbokki sauce
- hard boiled eggs
- green onions (sliced a little bigger)
- cheese (mozzarella or american cheese)
- water
How to:
- hard boil the eggs before hand
- boil water and cook the tteokbokki
- after a few minutes add the ramen (optional to add the dried veggie package)
- once the noodles start getting soft, add the packet of tteokbokki sauce and the shin ramen seasoning
- keep stirring until everything is as soft as you like and add water if necessary
- when it's done throw the cheese, green onions, and hard boiled eggs in and mix
+ Chicken Alfredo
I love alfredo and it's such an easy meal to make for dinner or potlucks!
Ingredients for 2 boxes of pasta:
- 1 stick of butter
- 4 table spoon of cream cheese
- 1 quart of heavy cream
- parmesan cheese
- salt
- black pepper
- garlic
- pasta
- chicken breast
- bacon
- broccoli
How to:
- boil water and cook the pasta.
- while the pasta is cooking, cook the bacon, chicken, and broccoli.
- make the sauce in a separate pot
- add garlic and melt the butter
- add and melt the cream cheese
- add the heavy cream
- add salt and black pepper
- add the cheese
- stir until everything melts and is a nice creamy consistency
- strain the water from the pasta
- mix everything together or leave them separated. I usually just mix it all together and then serve it!
*extra tip - This dish is usually better served fresh. The next day it can look a little greasy, but what I do is add some milk to it and heat it up and it starts to have the creamy consistency again.
+ Chicken/Steak Laab Salad
A spicy and sour salad if you want to make something fresh on the side. My family has been eating this dish every other night.
Ingredients:
- chicken breast or steak (optional)
- romaine lettuce
- carrots
- cucumbers
- hard boil eggs (optional)
- laab seasoning (I use the Laab-Namtok Seasoning Mix)
- fish sauce
- lime
How to:
- hard boil the eggs before hand
- cut/shred the lettuce, carrots, and cucumbers
- cook the chicken breast or steak
- make the sauce in a separate little bowl
- add the laab seasoning
- add fish sauce
- add lime
- add a little bit of water if necessary
- add and mix until the taste is to your liking
- when everything is cooked and prepped, add them all together
Day 11 - Things I collect
Saturday, May 2, 2020
I'm a stationary collector! My collection includes, but is not limited to cards, stickers, journals, sticky notes, pens, and washitape. Most of my stationary things are for my planner, bullet journal, and making cards. I love making cards for people.
I love collecting Polaroids! I think they're such a cute and simple way to decorate your work/desk space. Most importantly, I love collecting memories!
Essential oils are my newest collection. It's a collection that I'm hoping will grow as I continue down the path of wellness.
Earrings are my next obsession and a staple when it comes to accessorizing. I can always walk out of a store with a new pair of earrings. Most days I wear my pearl studs, but on the other days I love wearing a set that'll dress up my outfit.
