Wicked

It's been a childhood dream of mine to see the Broadway musical "Wicked" and this past weekend it came true! Chu and I went to see it at the Buell Theater in Denver as an early 6th month anniversary celebration and it was such an outstanding experience. "Wicked" is a musical about good and evil, being true to yourself, friendship, and of course, love. The musical was touching, but hilarious at the same time. Their singing was sooo on point! One of my favorite characters was Galinda who later changed her name to Glinda. She acted like a blonde, spoiled, and self-centered person, but her character growth was one of the best. Her dress costumes were also very glittery! Chu and I definitely want to go see more Broadway shows in the future.

Already paid for an expensive show so we had a cheap dinner. But honestly, Chu and I looove Mc D's!

Inside the Buell Theater. Funny story, my hand is actually covering a stain that Chu got from a fry, ha!

Right before the show started!

April Favorites

Beauty/Fashion

  • Vaseline - This month I had a weird thing going on with my lips. They got really dry and there were little tiny bumps on them. It happened to me before during college too, but the only thing that helped both times was Vaseline. It took a little longer this time for it to heal, but my lips are back to normal and I don't think I'll ever use anything else for them besides Vaseline now.
  • Floral Print - There wasn't a specific item of clothing that I was obsessed with this month, but I did really love floral print.

Movies

  • Avenger: Endgame- Seriously, the movie of the year! I know people gave mixed reviews, but it was soooo good! I'm a huge fan of the whole series and I'm emotionally attached to all of the characters. There was so much heart in this movie as each character stepped up to the plate (besides Captain Marvel, she was not that useful to me) to protect their loved ones and Earth. I did cry, but I was too prideful to wipe my tears in front of my husband and my in-laws so I just let it dry by itself, ha. I also enjoyed the experience because there were so many scenes where people in the theater room applauded, which hyped it up so much! I'm definitely going to watch it again and embrace everything. Also, I just want to note that I'm completely satisfied with Captain America and his ending. In every movie I saw how he longed for her and so I think that was the ending he deserved. My heart was so happy for him as he got to reunite with the love of his life. Like I said, so satisfied with everything that has to do with Captain America!
  • Confession- A Korean drama about a lawyer who is trying to prove his father's innocence, while revealing a whole bunch of other corrupt things. I love mystery and crime dramas!
